Locusia Oy is a food tech company based in Viikki Science Park, Helsinki. We are developing and licensing innovative technologies for the food industry. With a long history in plant biotechnology, our focus lies in plant protein production technologies and plant-based food solutions. Our patent-pending technology for isolating proteins from pulses enables the production of highly soluble and functional plant protein ingredients. These proteins are particularly well-suited for fermented white or light-colored dairy alternatives and meat substitutes. The potential of this method has already been demonstrated with a cheese product available on the market. We are open to licensing opportunities and look forward to partnerships where we can add value through our technology and expertise.
